THE WEIGHT LOSS SURGERY GROUP - BLOG SPONSOR

The first sponsor of my blog is my employer -  The Weight Loss Surgery Group (WLS GROUP). Thank you WLS Group. During my career as a Registered Nutritionist I have pretty much specialized in the area of weight loss/management. I think this is one of the most, if not, the most fulfilling and rewarding area of nutrition to work in. Not only does weight loss improve or cure a whole array of health problems that costs the NHS millions each year (e.g. high blood pressure, diabetes, high cholesterol), but it improves the overall quality of people lives.

When patients smile as they get off the scales following another great weight loss, and when they tell me that they have been able to play more adventurously with their kids, do up their own shoe laces and get on a plane without being automatically offered the extender belt, it makes my job so much more stimulating. Of course my ears also prick up when the girls tell me all about their recent fashion purchases after going from a dress size in the 20’s to a dress size 12. No more Evans, hello TOPSHOP!

What’s the hardest part of weight management? Most people will say keeping the weight off once they have lost it. Either you or someone you know will have been on some fantastic weight loss programme for 4-5 months and lost 6-7 stones, only to put it all back on 6-12 months later. You then decide that programme didn't work and you find another diet that someone’s raving about and the same pattern of events happens again.

Weight loss surgery (yes the one Fern Britton, Anne Diamond and Vanessa Feltz had, but it’s by no means just for the over 40’s)  is considered to be the most effective method for weight loss and, probably more importantly, weight maintenance, so if you have a BMI over 35 and have tried countless diets over many years and feel your weight and health is starting to spiral out of control, perhaps consider calling the Weight Loss surgery Group for a free consultation on 0800 7879029 or just have a snoop around our website www.wlsgroup.co.uk

This is my lovely boss Michelle Bowater - the founder and MD of WLS Group - who had weight loss surgery at 32 and went from weighing over 25 stones to 10 stones! Doesn't she look fab? You may recognize her (especially with the red hair) from a TV documentary she did on ITV 1 a couple of years ago?
