LOOK, BUT DON'T TOUCH

Unless it's a bargain!

Zatchels Harmony Collection
Every now and again, I like to browse the World Wide Web to identify what fashions I can add to my wish-list. I don’t know why I do this because it rarely conjures up positive emotions when I’m sitting at my PC lusting after the handbag or shoes on screen; in fact it actually leaves me positively deflated that I can only look, but not touch. Nonetheless, it's a pastime I engage in and suspect I will do so for a long time yet. Gawd, how ridiculous!

Whilst internet surfing various online shops a few months ago, I decided to take a peek at the Zatchels website, where I bought my first satchel (see above) from their Harmony range (see here). Within seconds I encountered a denim satchel, part of their new collection - OMG a denim satchel, “genius” I thought, then I began thinking about all the denim or otherwise clothes this bag would go with – I saw it,  I liked it and I wanted it in my wardrobe! The idea of spending over £100 on a second satchel did interrupt that ruminative moment though, so instead I gently shut down my PC with a sigh.

Anyway, so imagine this scenario…..for over a month I had been coveting this denim satchel, and like an angel from heaven a tweet appeared on my Twitter page saying Zatchels had a 50% sale on ALL their bags on the 20 April to celebrate their second year in business. It felt like it was my birthday, so on the 20 April, the minute I woke up, I logged on to my PC and ordered my denim satchel. The rest, as they say, is history………..

  1. I love satchels and it did tempt me but I already have so many bags that don't get use so I resisted. I have a few dresses in mind but I might wait for the sales and also I want to lose a little more weight rather that buying something only to take it in etc. To be honest, I have my eyes on a three strand pearl necklace that can be worn as a back necklace as well. PS where are your modeling pics??? hehe xx

    1. oooh I actually bought a strand pearl necklace from Thomas Sabo - not sure if that would be the kind of thing you are looking for though.

oh I know, tut tut with the modelling pictures. I promise I will get myself in front of the camera instead of behind for the next post - this modelling lark doesn't come naturally you know, I have to feel 'right' ha ha, but watch this space xx

  2. You're not alone! It's so hard to kick the habit of surfing the net, not intending to shop but buying something anyway.

I find satchels very funky and tempted to buy a Cambridge satchel. Is that how it's called? But I have an old Warehouse satchel that I haven't even used for ages, so I decided not to go for it. I love worn satchels, as if I'm a geek, which doesn't suit me :)

Fifty Bags that Changed the World...do you have a thing for number Fifty? Fifty shades and bags after.....:)

On my wish list is a flirty floaty summer dress on a budget of £30.

    And a nice bikini :)

Agree with CSW, modelling photos please :)

    1. Yes yes The Cambridge Satchel Company - a direct competitor of Zatchels...

You must get your old warehouse satchel out, if I still had mine from school, I would be donning that without a care in the world ha ha.

      Fifty?..ha ha - pure coincidence

  17. Beautiful! I can see why so much thought into that satchel. Excellent purchase I am usually not a satchel person but when I scroll down and saw this loved it right away.
I know what is like to browse the web wanting to buy everything and then this particular something that stays on your mind after you shut down the laptop ..... Then, I always, somehow end up buying it.
Looking forward to outfit pictures with both of these.
    Have a happy week,
    xx

  18. Oh my goodness, I LOVE that satchel! It's really hard to argue with a sale for that beauty. I try to stay away from things like Pinterest and online stores just because I don't want a wishlist. Having a wishlist means that I'm more likely to impulse buy!
I gave your facebook page a Like. Hope you'll check out my page too!

    Sincerely,

  20. Ok, this satchel is cool!! When I read "denim satchel" I thought "say what?!" but it really looks great! And what a discount! I want that Jil Sander leather lunch bag, but I don't think I'd get it even if it were 50 % off.:D Maybe I should just made it myself or something...

  21. Lol I do the same when I am about to buy something and realize is probably not a good idea: turn of my computer, get out asap of the store. But it's good you found the sale because it is absolutely gorgeous! Right now I am thinking about a pair of wedges... we'll see ;)
