It's heart-warming

Hi Ladies (and any gents)

You’ve probably noticed I’ve been somewhat absent from the blogosphere lately, and I want to take this opportunity to apologise to my lovely, loyal readers for essentially disappearing without an explanation.

It’s interesting, I've always questioned whether ‘bloggers’ have a duty or obligation to inform or explain to their readers the reason for their sudden lack of blog posts. I never arrived at an answer, but now, having personally experienced the phenomena I refer to as ‘blogger bother’ (where blogging becomes more of a bother than a fun hobby and consequently you lose the inclination to even bother to put finger to keyboard),  I realise that it’s perhaps only right that a blogger at least advises their readers that they will be taking a blogging break. I’ll be honest, I underestimated the amount of concern my absence would initiate and just expected you would carry on your merry way with your own blogs. So, firstly, thank you for your concern (you know who you are) and second of all , please do not be concerned; I am absolutely well - as you can see from the above recent selfie in the Mango fitting room – and not sick in any shape or form, I’m just being a bit indolent with blogging and attending to some other things that life is throwing my way at present.

I will be back at some point and I guess, meanwhile, the best place to catch me is over on Instagram.

Thank you so much for your understanding my little sweet peas x

  1. So pleased to hear that you are well and doing a little clothes shopping. Nice floral pants ready for spring. I hope you treated yourself to these and maybe a few other bits and pieces.

    1. aaah well I already own these pants ( from Oasis) but I did treat myself to a new pair from Mango. Thank you Miss B

  2. Hi Colleen! So glad to see a new post from you. I understand your point and you have all my comprehension. If blogging becomes a bother then isnt good anymore because at the end there must be always the fun (which is the thing the first make us all to start to blog). When it happens I am disappointed from something or someone on blogosphere I always remind myself I start for fun and still must be so. When I see it isnt so, I take is easier. So dear, take your time and do what life is throwing your way, though I hope you will be back soon. Well, I cant feel ur missing since I have u on IG :P Btw, you look very smashing, how funny I went to Mango this evening too! Unfortunately I didnt by anything but I spotted many would carrined with me!:) Take care xo

  3. Thanks goodness! Only yesterday I was saying to the BF to check you out for nutritional advice but that I hadn't heard from you a while!
Hope you pop up again soon!

  4. Blog-writing is fun, but for sure needs time too. I know exactly what you mean.
Glad to hear you a fine and if you are in mood for blogging again, I will be happy to read about you.
Meanwhile I follow you on Instagram. I still thinking about your fantastic shoes ;)
    Have a nice weekend

  5. Colleen sister, you are the best!!! see you on Instagram and have a great success with your other (I bet interesting) things in life!!

    kisses and keep in touch,

  6. You look so pretty!!! I love your hat!!
Thank you so much for your visit and comment, dear Colleen!!!
Have a good week!! my g+ and like for you!!!:)))

    Besos, desde España, Marcela♥

  7. I just thought you were busy, you know when you posted a line about not blogging as much in the future a while back but then you removed it because you didn't want to alarm anybody since you alarmed me? Anyhow, I'm glad to see you shopping and looking FABULOUS, dear, I was back here a couple of times looking for a new post and here it is.:) And I actually know what you're talking about, blogger bother's a bitch...:/

  8. I think taking a blogging break is sometimes necessary - you have been soo consistent since you started as well. But i love your blog - you have a great balance of information and fun and I think you should know that!! Take a little rest and don't feel any bother but you have a good thing going here xx

  9. Taking a blog break on occasion can be neccessary - after all, blogging is supposed to be fun and if it isn't, then there's no reason to do it. Glad to hear that you're well and will be looking forward to your return :)

  10. sweet of you.I get your point babes, glad you are well and looking radiant. I was so bothered when i didn't see any new post and your Facebook also went mute. I do understand that there are loads of things life throw at you, at one time i almost lost interest in blogging but decided to blog just once or twice in a week. It's kin of hard when you got so much responsibilities like, work, school, kids, shopping and loads... But girl!!! You are rocking those pants and your shoes are kickass, you know how to rock.

  11. I do enjoy blogging and think it's entirely up to the blogger to let readers know. You need balance in life so it is necessary and healthy to break every now and then. I do let my readers know when it's been 5 days or more because my readers already know that I have quite a busy schedule so I do not blog everyday. I love hats and just wore my bowler hat like this on the weekend. You look great! I l love your printed trousers.
    /Madison :-)

  12. Hi dear Colleen, you are smart and clever - I know this already and how good that you take care of you! I think a blogging break sometimes is a really good idea especially because we live our life in the real live :)

Thanks a lot for your regularly and always kind and interesting comments on my blog, I appreciate each single comment of you.

I wish you only the best - take care of you <3

    Kisses from Bavaria/Germany, Rena

  13. Many kisses and hugs my dear! Thanks for stopping by, hope your week is going well! xo

  14. Dear Colleen.
