AN INTRODUCTION TO BOSTON TEA PARTYand it's a thumbs up from her.
I, like most people, have a list of restaurants that I can rely on to meet my needs. An eatery that offers a delicious menu with some healthy options to choose from, a welcoming service with smiley and easy-going staff, a great atmosphere conducive to being able to work or rest, and a space where you look around at the décor/furnishings before you look at the menu always ticks my boxes and guarantees a position on my list of best local restaurants to dine – included on this list is Boston Tea Party (BTP).
I love finding out about new restaurants and when I realised my friend hadn’t heard of BTP I decided I’d introduce her to it for lunch because I knew she had the same ethos as me when it came to eating out. We grabbed ourselves a little spot in the corner overlooking the imposing Grade 1 listed red-brick and terracotta Victoria Law Courts building and chatted away whilst we scanned the relatively affordable menu!
I opted for the ‘super salad’ because I hadn’t long had breakfast and fancied something light; it was packed with avocado, mango, radish, sprouting seeds, leaves, nuts, seeds and lentils (you can add some chicken for a boost of protein for a an extra couple of quid) which really complemented my fresh kiwi and banana smoothie. Selina, my friend, chose the ‘smoked salmon, scrambled eggs & avocado on toast’ - no she doesn’t blog or post on Instagram despite the cliché dish, she’s just a proper health chick like me. The verdict…….well let’s just say she declared she’d be coming back again. There’s no collaboration going on here, just simply a recommendation in case you stumble upon the BTP sign and wonder whether you should go in!
What I wore:
Top - Mango; Culottes - Zara; Sandals - River Island; Bag - Aspinal of London
