THE SHIRT DRESS

Weather permitting.

I’m sorry to be typically British and moan about the weather, but unfortunately, in my opinion, we Britons haven’t had much opportunity to bask in continuous days of sweltering sunshine this year and this has played havoc with my summer wardrobe and my routine annual leg wax treatments, which are both usually dependent on what the meteorologists forecast.

I recently treated myself to this long-sleeved ASOS denim shirt dress, firstly because it’s a timeless, effortless piece which will see me through subsequent summers, and secondly, I felt this particular longer length style would suit days when there was a chill in the air and a bit of stubble on my legs; pairing it with the gladiator sandals reminds me it’s still summer and ensures I’m comfortable all day!

  1. I don't normally shop at Asia. Mind you I don't shop much for clothes but I might put my feelers out in this one because it's loose and flowing and a great staple. It looks great on you! Have a great week xx

  4. Elegant, comfortable, classy and beautiful, dear Colleen! I loved the shirt dress, cause this one is longer than the ones I have been seeing! I liked the color and the headband, and I loved your hairstyle! The bag is amazing, too! I know how it is... when it's cold,"oh, so cold!" When it's hot "oh, so hot" :) But it's normal and I know another country where people complain this way, so never mind :) I think this dress is perfect for autumn as well, and I really liked your pictures! Hope you have a very nice start of the week!

    1. Definitely comfortable and the length appealed to me too. Yes I am going to see how it can work for autumn actually, maybe with some knee high boots or ankle boots.....

And I enjoy your fantasic outfit. Your shirt dress looks very good for your, even the color ist pretty nice. Your gladiator sandals are to die for. I like the way you have your hair today. A very relaxed style.

  6. I have trouble wearing loose clothing, for some reason, coz I keep on adjusting it. Hahaha. love shirt dresses, though. This one's a great choice, plus it's denim look. I don't know what to wear anymore, so I say, just bring on the cooler months. Haha. Have a lovely week xx
